Get to know me

Writer-dramaturg-researcher-performer...being a hyphenate is in my name!

My tale begins in Montreal, Canada, where my multicultural and multilingual experiences introduced me to a range of stories. Having grown up as a dancer, I decided to pursue theatre, studying at York University and the University of Glasgow. The stars aligned and guided me back to the performing world - this time as a performer with Disneyland Paris.  A dream come true! As a performer, I have firsthand experience of the power of stories on an audience. Now as a Show Writer with Disneyland Paris, I get to create immersive, magical experiences for our guests - stories that they can step into as their own heroes, alongside beloved characters.

My creative obsession is connecting with an audience in a way that allows them to feel seen. My art mainly deals with themes of liminality  - the feeling of belonging in two worlds. It reflects my own journey as I've traveled across the world - from Montreal to Toronto, to Japan, to Glasgow, Paris and back again! -  creating an identity that contains multitudes. My art is uplifting while containing a deeper underlying message. I want to guide an audience into the story through curiosity, wonder, and joy - so that they feel safe enough to open their minds to its message.

My goal is to create emotionally connected story experiences that leave an audience with goosebumps, and a lasting shared memory.

My Training: From across the pond to the happiest place on Earth

I have a Masters degree in Playwriting and Dramaturgy from the University of Glasgow. Besides being able to study in what looks like a wizarding academy, this experience gave me the skills necessary to hone my craft as a dramaturg.

Throughout both my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I collaborated with a variety of playwrights in different stages of development, providing written and oral feedback, and leading Cold Read Sessions with actors.

I completed further work placement opportunities with Playwrights Studio Scotland and Disney Live Entertainment at Disneyland Paris, so I know a thing or two about making magic!

Ok but...what is a dramaturg anyways?!

Think of me as the midwife to your baby - the baby being your story. I'm here to help you deliver your creative work in a safe, encouraging, and hopefully enjoyable environment. I'm your cheerleader, advocate, and emotional support dragon that you keep in your back pocket. I help you see the forest through the trees, and keep the bigger picture in mind.

My Method: Finding Joy!

I offer a writer-first approach that prioritizes you as an artist over a finished product. While we both want to make good art, the key is finding a joy-centered approach that keeps you motivated and excited about the work. This is where I come in. I thrive in collaborative, encouraging environments, and want you to love your story. Whether it be through a sound-board session where we bounce ideas off each other, or in-text notes, my goal is to get your writing to a place where you can take pride and joy in it.
